This past week Jason and I had the joy of spending some time with his family in Louisiana. His cousin, Tammy, and her husband, Mike, have a house on a lake. They invited us, along with Jason's mom, his brothers, and his aunt and uncle and their daughters to spend the week relaxing on the lake. Jason and I went up Wednesday night and spent Thursday, Friday, and Saturday simply relaxing. It's so nice to get away for a weekend and rest. Vacations don't always have to be so jam packed.
Jason's uncle, Wayne, and his wife, Linda, took us to see the Lousiana Boardwalk. What an awesome place! It was a really nice shopping area on the Red River, designed to look like a boardwalk. While there we ate at an awesome steak house (Thanks Wayne and Linda!) and Joe's Crab Shack. The sights were beautiful and it was definitely nice to spend some more time with Jason's family.
